Dr. Azzam Alkhudari

Dr. Azzam Alkhudari was born in Homs, Syria, and he completed his medical school at Aleppo University in 1992. He came to the USA and completed his Anesthesiology training at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in 2005, followed by a fellowship in Pain Management at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago in 2006.

Dr. Alkhudari is an assistant professor at Rush Medical College and an Interventional Pain Management attending John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago. He is board-certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Management.

 

Dr. Alkhudari has been a member of SAMS (Syrian American Medical Society) since its establishment. He has served on the SAMS Midwest chapter for three terms and is currently the chapter Board’s Vice President.

As a volunteer physician, Dr. Alkhudari has participated in 10 missions with SAMS since 2012 in Lebanon and Turkey. Outside work, he enjoys traveling, swimming, and supporting other Syrian American civil and democratic promotion organizations. Dr. Alkhudari is married to Mrs. Rabia Arafa and has three children named Jad, Sedra, and Tema.
