Member Under the Spotlight:

Dr. Mohammed Naji

Dr. Mohammed Naji was born in Damascus, Syria. He graduated from Damascus University Medical School in 1972 and completed a surgical internship in Trenton, NJ. He then completed a residency in anesthesiology at Drexel University and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

 

Dr. Naji is a board-certified anesthesiologist recognized by the American Board of Anesthesiology and a fellow of the American College of Anesthesiology. He currently practices outpatient anesthesia with NAPA in several surgery centers in northern Virginia.

 

Dr. Naji is married and has three children and four grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, swimming, and playing racquetball. He has been a member of SAMS since 2011 and established the DC Chapter in 2012. He has also regularly attended SAMS conferences.

 

Dr. Naji has participated in several teaching workshops in Turkey and has gone on medical missions to Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, and recently, to Gaza for two weeks.
