Dr. Waddah Maskoun has built a distinguished career in electrophysiology, spanning over two decades. Born in Aleppo, Dr. Maskoun graduated from Aleppo University School of Medicine in 1999 and subsequently completed his internal medicine residency at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He then pursued cardiology fellowships at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and electrophysiology fellowships at Indiana University School of Medicine.
Dr. Maskoun has developed expertise in performing complex cases and is currently the Director of EP Research and Device Clinics at Henry Ford Hospital. He has also mentored cardiology and EP fellows for 11 years, shaping the next generation of medical professionals. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Maskoun is a devoted family man, married to an attorney and father to four daughters. He enjoys watching sports and movies and prioritizes spending quality time with his loved ones.
Notably, Dr. Maskoun has been involved with the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) for several years, contributing to fundraising events in Little Rock, Arkansas, and improving EP care in Northwest Syria through his work with the EP group. Dr. Maskoun was elected as board member for Michigan SAMS Chapter for the term 2024-2026. His dedication to his craft and community is truly commendable.
