Dr. Hala Nas

Dr. Hala Nas is a remarkable physician, educator, and humanitarian who has made significant contributions to the field of pulmonary and critical care medicine. Born in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, she pursued her medical training at Damascus University School of Medicine, residency training at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center, then fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Henry Ford Hospital.

Currently, Dr. Nas serves as a Staff Physician in the Thoracic Oncology Division at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH.

Beyond her medical practice, Dr. Nas is an active member of SAMS, where she has held various leadership roles, including Secretary of the Michigan Board of Directors 2018-2022, Secretary, and Board member of the National Board of Directors 2021-2023 and Conference Chair for the 11th National Conference in Chicago 2022. Her commitment to SAMS demonstrates her passion for giving back to the community and supporting humanitarian efforts.

In her free time, Dr. Nas enjoys reading Arabic poetry and crime fiction, traveling, and baking. Her diverse interests and hobbies reflect her well-rounded personality and creativity.
