Dr. Kamal Al Fakiani

Dr. Kamal Al Fakiani is a dedicated orthodontist and educator with a passion for humanitarian work. Born in Damascus, Syria, he graduated from Damascus University’s dental school in 1999. He then pursued further education at SUNY Buffalo, earning a Master’s in Oral Science and a certificate in orthodontics in 2005.

Dr. Al Fakiani joined the faculty at SUNY Buffalo as an assistant clinical professor of orthodontics before moving to Phoenix in 2006. He continued to teach as a clinical instructor at AT Still University’s orthodontic department while establishing his private practice. In 2019, he founded Clear Smile Orthodontics, operating two offices in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

As the Arizona chapter president of the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS), Dr. Al Fakiani played a key role in organizing the 8th National Conference in Phoenix. Through SAMS, he has had the opportunity to contribute to humanitarian efforts, easing the suffering of those in need in Syria and beyond. He has also met like-minded individuals dedicated to medical relief work.

Dr. Al Fakiani is married with four children and enjoys soccer, reading, and traveling in his free time.
